Catching up with Mr ‘Dogshit’

5 March 2007

The ever shrill, yet completely out-to-lunch, Stephen ‘Dogshit‘ Green, head gobshite of Hate Mongers Ltd. (AKA Christian Voice), has been busy recently putting out a number of “press releases” in the past few weeks. Here are some choice quotes:

Here we have El Stevo thanking his god for his omnipotence and omniscience, in the case of a bunch of muslims that want to build a mosque in Dudley:

But just for now, we are praising God for His strength and giving Him the glory. This decision could have gone either way. It went the right way, and for that we are grateful.

His god certainly does act in the most mysterious, toss-of-a-coin, way.

The next quote is from Stevie-weevie’s item about an award named after a deceased homosexual (and alleged paedophile):

It is undeniable that all those who set up paedophile groups in the 1970s were leading homosexual activists, which makes sense, as paedophilia is really only a logical extension of homosexuality.

Um, yeah, just like custard is just a logical extension of public health policy.

Next up, we have Stevie-baby on art, talking about Damien Hurst’s newest exhibition:

‘It is also peculiar that Hirst has premised his work on some supposed ‘conflict’ between science and religion. A bit more serious thought would show that religion and science do different jobs and are not in conflict at all. In fact, the exhibits seem to shout ‘medicine’ rather than ’science’, so I cannot see that he has hit the target, or even qualified for the play-offs.

Yes, because science deals with reality, and religion doesn’t.

I took a quick look at the ‘about us’ page on the web site, and it presents this gem:

Christian Voice is a prophetic ministry in the sense that we attempt, with God’s grace, to analyse current events in the light of scripture, proclaim God’s word to those in public life and provide the information which Christians need in order to pray with the mind of God in these dark days.

My emphasis. If they’re analysing current events, aren’t they a little late to start spewing prophecy?

Truly, if you want a cringworthy laugh, you could do worse than read some of the hate-filled nonsense coming out of Britain’s most vocal (and pogonophiliac) fundie.
