Chuck Norris vs humanism

18 May 2007

I didn’t think that I’d ever have a reason or opportunity to blog about Chuck Norris on this blog, but apparently he thinks knows about humanists, he believes we want to rid the world of christianity, and he’s cocking his fists in anticip……ation.

Perhaps best known for his CBS television series, Walker, Texas Ranger, Norris began his career as a professional karate fighter. He has starred in dozens of shoot ‘em up action films, such as Good Guys Wear Black, A Force of One, Delta Force, and Missing in Action. More recently, he’s found work as a conservative online columnist for WorldNetDaily.com.

On Monday, the hirsute tough guy published a Web column titled “How to outlaw Christianity (Step 1).” The column is a self-professed “treatise” that attempts to expose an evil atheist conspiracy to “outlaw Christianity.” (Chuck Norris hates outlaws.)

The Institute for Humanist Studies is first on Norris’ hit list of “antagonist groups and individuals to theism”. The Secular Student Alliance, residents of the IHS Humanist Center, are also on Norris’ radar along with the other member organizations of the Secular Coalition for America.
