You put this together? Good stuff! :)

  2. h3nry Says:

Creative work! I wish I had done that! :-)

    Keep it up.

  3. Zukiwi Says:

    Nice work Null !

  4. XanderG Says:

Yay! Now I know what to think. No more tough critical thinking for me. Good work Null, keep it up.

  5. Aerik Says:

It’s funny you are posting this, because I just picked up a video of MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson doing an interview with a non-atheist who just wrote a book called “the atheist bible.”

  6. Jody Says:

    Well done!

I found some minor spelling errors. Is it presumptuous of me to point them out?

  7. Richard Says:

Jody: you’ll be happy to know that my learned interpretation of Book Three, Chapter Two, Paragraph 2 tells you exactly what you must do with those errors.

    “Individuals are selected”

This obviously means that evolution have been guided to produce you all those years ago, selecting you for just this instant when you could do good. Go forth and pedant!

You’d be amazed the valuable life lessons contained within the Atheists Bible; and how Book Three, Chapter One, Paragraph 1 holds keys to not only abortion but property rights.

    This is so clever.

    I admire ur brilliance Nullifidian.

and can u believe the bloody theists presume to write a bible for us now.

    It is official.
The world’s gone stark ravin mad.

  9. Thz Says:

Is this reproducible for spreading to the masses? Perhaps we could give this out at elementary schools like the Gideon’s. At very least I’d like to distribute it around my University.

  10. nullifidian Says:

Aerik: does one feel compelled to accept dogma from a confessed heretic? ;-)

Jody: this document lives by it’s own values, in a feedback loop of sorts. Spelling errors (with a traditional British English bias) will be fixed in due course. Help in forcing the evolution of the offending memes is appreciated.

Thz: it’s under a Creative Commons license, so feel free to distribute as you see fit.

  11. Jody Says:

I had to ask about the spelling errors: a lot of people take constructive criticism about their grammar and spelling WAY to seriously. :)

I’m commenting again mainly because I saw you did it twice now (in your comment and in the Bible):

“it’s” is ONLY a contraction of “it is”. Eg. “…this document lives by it’s own values” should be using “its”.

    Respectfully,

    jody

  12. TW Says:

You want to set your lawyers on to the plagiarist who wrote the “other” Atheist Bible…

  13. TW Says:

    Jody:

a lot of people take constructive criticism about their grammar and spelling WAY to seriously

    :-)

  14. Jody Says:

    > WAY to seriously

    Haha. Nice!

  15. nullifidian Says:

I’m glad you caught the deliberate mistake in the comment, Jody. :-) And, somehow, the bible has mutated!

  16. alice berry Says:

Book 4, Chapter 3, “Dont be a dick”.
Am I to infer from this that only men are athiests?
or that only the souls of men are in danger of being a dick?

  17. nullifidian Says:

I think the AB was translated from the original by a Brit, and as such “dick” refers to an idiot of either gender.

  18. Samela Says:

This sacred text inspires in me a missionary zeal.

  19. Jmil Says:

I just “stumbleupon”-ed your site and I have to admit. I love this. I might even print it out and spread it around. Is that okay?

    Again, love the blog.

  20. nullifidian Says:

Jmil. Sure thing, but please don’t charge for it.

  21. jmil Says:

    Of course! Thanks!

  22. Unbeliever Says:

I just picked up a copy of “The Atheist’s Bible”, edited by Joan Konner, at my local bookstore, googled it so I could add it to my online list, and came across your brilliant piece of work. I like it! Short and to the point, concise and yet comprehensive, without being exhaustive. Thanks!
