Planet Humanism reinvigorated and a call for submissions

9 January 2009

I’ve left Planet Humanism alone for too long, neglected to keep the software up to date and generally not been checking to see if the relevant feeds were still active.

I took a couple of hour today to do just that, and have updated the site to use the latest stable version of MoonMoon (no, not this one, this one).

During the upgrade process, I found that five of the sites were either dead or broken. I managed to recover two of these lost feeds, but three are still MIA.

However, I just know that there must be more than the current total of 39 humanist (or humanism-related) blogs on the web, and I think it would be great to see even more, especially if the blog owners are not on, or reluctant to be on, other aggregators like (the awesome and very busy) Planet Atheism.

So, I would consider it a great honour and an especial favour if, if you consider yourself a humanist, either join us on Planet Humanism yourself (or leave a comment on this post with the URL to your blog), perhaps make mention of it on your blog, or perhaps forward this to your humanist blogger friends and see if they would be interested in joining up.

Of course, if you’re currently a member and don’t have a link to Planet Humanism, I’d love it if you added one.

And, finally, to round of this episode of self-prostitution, if you’re currently a member and no longer want to be1 then please let me know and I’ll remove you from the aggregator.

Even more finally, thanks. :-)
