I suppose private enterprise can service who they like, but surely this is up to the owner? I also suppose, to be fair, that in assigning this person as a manager the owner gave them the authority to do so with the understanding that they do the best for the business.

Unless the owner was as bigotted as the manager, I'm guessing that on that occasion she stepped out of line. It's certainly not a good advertisement for the company.

This kind of stupidity rears it's head in all kinds of places. I once worked in a stained glass studio. I'm in the southwestern U.S. where native American culture has a large influence in every day life. Kachinas (dolls used by some tribes for religious and cultural purposes) are very popular with locals and tourists alike. A woman came into the studio and wanted to commission a stained glass window depicting a kachina and the shop manager refused on the grounds that it violated her Christian beliefs against idolatry. I offered to do the window but this idiot, who was only the manager and not the owner, said she would not have that kind of devil's work done in "her" shop and turned the customer away.

Hmmm. If it's across all browsers, then I suspect that it might be the caching plugin, although it's working for me. I'll clear the cache and have a dicker with it and see if that helps.

It is ironic really. The statement is as Anti-Islam as it is Anti-Christian, but he doesn't understand that. It is just as derogatory about Odin as it YWYH.

Still without being excessively rude about a job, he didn't become a bus driver because he was overly educated and understanding of world issues…

By the way – Null – for some reason when I open http://www.nullifidian.net/in pretty much any browser (Opera, Chrome, FF, IE, Safari tried so far) I get the 9 Jan 09 post as the most recent. I have to know the exact URL to find posts like this. Sadly, I cant even hazard a guess as to why this is.
